Well, it is over again...it takes so long to get ready for it....and it's over in a matter of minutes!
But, I have to say, we had a fabulous day with our family. having our sons and their families with us is just the BEST!!!!
Our second son, Derek and his son, Dawson(15) with my husband, Merrill.
Our youngest son, Kirk with his son, Mason(10)
Our oldest son, Jamie with his family...wife, Lori, step daughter, MacKenzie(18). son,Ethan(11), and Ben(9).
Then, they through me in the mix!!!!!!It's hard to beat time with these guys.....love them to death! We had a very nice Christmas...as I hope all of you did too.
Now....I want to let you know, especially the folks from my fairly close area, I am selling my Tiara(sit down long arm). My husband has surprised with the new Babylock Coronet, which is a long arm on a short frame. This will fit in my room...so, Tiara needs to move. She is 31/2 years old, and you would never know she was used. I take very good care of her..cleaning and oiling regularly. She has been serviced and that can be checked out easily..I have the receipt.Included in the sale is....the machine, table with overlay, bobbin winder, and small items like wrenches, bobbins oil, etc.
This machine works like a charm, I just don't have the space for both.
Please, if interested, email me for details. I also have the packing box for the machine for carrying.

Well...this afternoon I finished hand quilting the last quilt before Christmas. I do have two arriving this week to machine quilt for Christmas, but that's ok. Here is the one I just finished...have to bind it yet.
Thursday, November 17, 2016
Yes!!!.....lol it is finished, and didn't take nearly as long as I expected it would. This quilt measures
112"x123"and I don't know how many little hexies!!! But, it was easy to hand quilt...finished it yesterday just before supper. I spent the evening binding it, since I was alone last night...hubby is out of town for a couple of nights.
The back is neat..looks like chicken wire...lol. Today I got the last one needed to be done for Christmas in the frames. This Log Cabin was pieced quite some time ago, and saved as this gift.
I got a couple of blocks quilted, then a couple of friends stopped in for a tea with me. Wasn't that nice...since I was alone?

Here we are in November already!!!! Linking up to Monika http://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.com/. This week, I am working like crazy to get quilts out.
I did finish machine quilting the three jelly roll quilts for a customer...two or three more coming any day.
Here they are....
I have this customer quilt in the frames being hand quilted now....about 1/3 finished. I added borders to this Grandmothers Flower Garden, which is hand pieced.
I had a log cabin dropped off yesterday to be hand quilted....that makes three besides this flower garden here now. But I love it!!!!!
Things are pretty well finished up outside for fall anyway.....so, quilting it is!!!!! Ok.....I do have to clean house once in awhile, I guess.......
And I am working on my blocks for this months 100 club quilt with our fabric shop. Here is the quilt I am piecing, but mine will be queen size.

Hey folks...well, my giveaway was a hit...had two lucky winners!!!!! Now my works in progress...
Today, I have a bad cold...but still plugging away. I just finished hand quilting this large bedsize quilt for a customer...
I've done a few in these colours for her...she loves the brights!!!!! Next to go in the frames to be hand quilted is this one...another border was added since this picture.
This measures 110x125 inches. The grandmothers flower garden was hand pieced by the lady's grand mother...I added the borders to make it bigger for her.
I finished putting this cat quilt together a few days ago for a customer...
She had most of it pieced, but got overwhelmed, and sent it to me to finish and hand quilt..it will be quilted after the flower garden. The lady who picked this finished one up a week ago ...Linking up to Monika athttp://needleandthreadnetwork.blogspot.com/
Brought a Bargello today for me to hand quilt. I haven't taken a picture of it yet, but soon I'll post one for you.
I also have the third jelly roll quilt ready to machine quilt....here are the first two.

HI folks...I would have posted this as a WIP with Monika, but since there is a giveaway...decided not to.
This week I am really crazy busy with quilts and things. I am also working hard at hauling and piling hard wood for the next few winters. So, on with this post, eh!!!!!!!
I am planning to put this customer quilt in the frames today...to be hand quilted. This lady has had me quilt 3or4 quilts in these colours in the last couple of years. Guess she loves them...lol
It is roughly 92x100 inches. And this next one is from a new customer...making it larger for starters.
Her grandmother hand pieced the grandmothers flower garden, but Its too small. I am adding borders to fit a king size bed then will hand quilt it.
One more outside border to add...darker print from same line. And I have this one ready to machine quilt...jelly roll quilt.
This lady has 5 or 6 for me....this next one is finished. She will bind them.
Now, for the fun!!!! I have two giveaways for you today...sponsored by a couple of fantastic quilt shops that we all love.

It is Sunday evening, and quite windy here in Shepody...but has been a very nice weekend.
I have a couple of finishes for you tonight...first is the wedding memory quilt. This is not easy for you to really see, I don't take great pics. It is made from the girls wedding gown, and her bouquet.
This piece measures 30"x36" and she plans on framing it in a shadow box.
I always feel so thrilled when they see their quilts for the first time. Now the second finish is a quilt that I hand quilted for a customer...Lovers Knot.
Tomorrow brings a new day, and probably a new quilt to hand quilt will be started. I have three waiting to hand quilt, and two right now, to machine quilt...three on the way.
I am working on your giveaway too....soon!
Have a great week my friends.

I am halfway through hand quilting this "lovers knot".
This quilt is king size....a wedding gift from my customer to her daughter.
I am about halfway through this memory quilt....remember the bridal gown???
It is on my design wall right now...I have added some peach coloured petals since this pic was taken.
I have three large quilts waiting to be hand quilted for customers, and three of five quilts waiting to be machine quilted for Christmas. That's because only three have arrived yet.
Besides all the quilting, I got the last of my potatoes in for the winter!!!! Now to start on next years hard wood....lol. But it keeps me outside on nice days, which I like.

Thank you Amy from http://www.amyscreativeside.com/bloggers-quilt-festival// for hosting again this year.
This year I am entering my Slice of Sunshine in the hand quilting category. This quilt was inspired by an older lady whom I used to hand quilt for. She was getting so she couldn't work at quilts much anymore, and called me one day to see if I would take some things she had. So, away I went to see what she was talking about...thinking 'someone can use it'.
She had some quilt magazines and lots of wonderful fabric!!! I noticed that she had the page turned down for this one and fabric to go with it. So....what else could I do? Here is my "Slice of Sunshine"....

Now, a rainy Monday would usually get me down...but we are getting some much needed rain today.
The view from my living room window an hour ago...actually raining harder than it looks too!
Now, the view in my living room....lol
This is the customer quilt I am hand quilting this week. Love this quilt...it is so soft and suits the girly hearts being quilted in the border. Very busy with quilts right now....as the garden comes almost to an end.
Lots of tomatoes to stew, potatoes to dig in a couple of weeks...then wood to get in for winter!!!
You know what they say....a woman's work is never done....yes!!!!! Best time for our annual community turkey supper...right? Oct. 1st. We will serve about 600 at our community hall between 3 and 7pm.
Well, back to quilting.....
Thursday, September 15, 2016
Well, I started my day as usual.....breakfast and opening my shop. Then my friend Connie called and asked if I wanted to go to the quilt show in Quispamsis. Ok........I did say no at first, busy busy busy!!
That didn't last long...a few minutes later I called her back...I'm going...lol. We had a great day looking at all of the quilts, having lunch and a very nice drive on a sunny day. We ran into a group of friends that we get together for sewing days with too...always nice.
Now back to reality....lol. Well, I have finished hand quilting this Double Irish Chain for a friend.
I have 4 or 5 quilts ahead of me right now, waiting for hand quilting and some need more piecing.
One is a memory quilt to be made from the bridal gown...it is next on the list. And the next one to be hand quilted is a disappearing nine patch. So first of next week will be busy again. For now, I have to bind the Irish Chain.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
